LetsPlayShadigo has encountered a problem and needs to do stuff...

Yep, my computer is being a piece of crap, so I'm getting a new one - It means I won't be able to record the Still Alive test chambers for the Weekend mini thing I was going to do along with Portal 2. Portal 2 isn't affected by this as I have all but 2 Episodes of that that are ready to be uploaded. They will still be uploaded as normal. I'll still be doing the Still Alive testchambers as a Weekend Mini Project, but it's probably going to be when I do Goldeneye/Perfect Dark. If you were waiting for me to do this, than I apologise, but it's been things that have arisen far from my control that have caused this.

An update...

While I Play Tetris DX I update on what's going on. Here's the Jist of it:
  • Next Project starts March 5 (Next Monday as of writing)
  • It would have been Pokémon Gold Version, but the internal battery inside the cartridge had died, so that will be on hold until I can figure out a decent way to record via emulator and also record Live Commentary
  • Replacing that project will be Portal 2. This, like Portal - Still Alive, will have no commentary and will be the single player campaign.
  • Speaking of Portal - Still Alive, I'll be doing a blind run of the Still alive Bonus Test Chambers. These videos will have live commentary on them.
  • After Portal 2, the next playthroughs will be the Blind Runs of Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. I would Like some assistance in what the DEFAULT Controls are for these games due to when I got these games for the N64, it was just the games and nothing Else (did not come with instructin booklets) any help on this either via youtube Comments on the video above, via Youtube's Privite Message System or Comments on this blog entry.
  • also apologies who follow my stuff here on TheShadigoBlogs. I've just been lazy when it has come to the updates. I'll be posting the updates here this upcoming week, so hopefully they will be all up before Portal 2 starts.

A Quick announcement involving my face... and LP stuff.

Oh, look - It's Shadigo's Ugly Face! I wonder what It's going to say...?

It's going to say these things:

Pokémon Red

  • As far as the Nuzloce run is concerned - it is now complete, Videos are ready to be endoded for Upload.
  • The final one will be uploaded on June 28.
  • Three bonus Videos Will Follow and will contain the following
    • Catching Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres
    • Exploring the Unknown Dungeon and catching Mewtwo
    • The Mew and Missingo. Glitches

Game Boy Donkey Kong

  • Will continue to be uploaded on Weekends only after Pokemon is finished
  • Will be completed and uploaded by the 10th July

After GB Donkey Kong/Pokémon are done with, I won't be doing any recording/Uploading for a while - I need to take a break, and Practice a few games I want to playthrough in the future I've also been being Lax with REcording and making videos, and that's not a good sign. There may be filler that I'll probably record/upload due to boredom, such as Battle Mode from the Super Bomberman Games I've played.

when I return the next Playthrough will be Doctor Who: Return to Earth. I originally said this was going to be blind... I have since changed my mind on that due to failed recordings previously. I will continue to do Side Lp's - the next one will be Starfox/Starwing for the SNES, and I will finish off the Mario Kart Wii videos. KP: What's the Switch may also show up, providing I somehow get a PS2 during the Hiatus.

Ok, so if you haven't seen the announcement video over at LPS:

Basically I've been ill for pretty much the majority of this week, and whilst I have (albeit barely) managed to do my one-update-a-weekday thing I've been doing for my Main LP series that I've been doing recently, I haven't managed to record anything since. I'm probably going to go record something later whilst I'm not being bothered by anyone - and hopefully, all I will need to do will be the Extra videos - Which I'll probably do on my own time. And since I try to record during the week (which didn't happen) and thus over the weekend I do all the editing and stuff (which won't happen now) I have no videos to upload next week. So if you're about to wonder about updates this next coming week - that is why.

Also, I'm announcing that Sonic Adventurre 2 will be my last LP to be encoded in HD quality for a while. My reasons for this are as follows:

They're a pain in the ass to encode

Eash 20-or-so minute video takes on average of 2 hours to encode to HD resolution (I'm using 1280 x 720 as the resolution for the record) and during those 2 hours I cannot do ANYTHING else on the computer. If I try this again, It will probably be on a more powerful PC than I currently have right now - and even then that'll take a while...

They're a pain in the ass to upload

When my Internet connection isn't busy each HD file (which averages about 250MB in size) will take an hour or so to upload, but I share my internet connection with other wireless compatible electronics - from my Nintendo DS, Wii and Xbox 360, to my Niece's Netbook and various wireless enabled smartphones the family owns. and when my connection is being shared (and the netbook is the main culprit here) my upload speed takes a nosedive and hardly uploads anything in 10 minutes, which has made me quickly loose patience with the upload so I cancel it so I can do other internet-related things. So while I try and upload when my computer is the only thing using the internet, it's not ususally the best time for me. (either Late at night when everyone's asleep, or early in the morning) Also recently I've been having issues with Uploading things (Pretty much every part of the DARK story of Sonic Adventure 2 has failed to upload for one reason or another, usually YouTube's "an unknown error has occoured" bullcrap) and I'm getting pretty sick of it.

I'm getting into trouble IRL

The simple explanation to this is thus: I leave the PC on overnight to encode videos. It's adding up on the electric Bill, and thus I'm getting into trouble with the family over it. Especially recently since I've nether worked, nor recieved any money since before Christmas and currently I'm strapped for cash.
As for what is happening with Sonic Adventure 2 - I'm approximating 4 more videos for the DARK side story (3 story videos + Optional item grabbing video) and two videos for teh Last Story (first Video, opening cutscenes + Cannon's Core, second Video The Final Bossfights) + about 2 videos covering Extras and 2P Mode (though that's only a maybe) - so there's another 8 or so videos for the LP to go.
Oh, and the first half of my Super Bomberman 3 LP (episodes 1-9) is up on blip.tv - you can look at the playlist here. The Remaining eight episodes should be up sometime tomorrow.

My first (and one of the last) updates of 2010

So... my first update ... Happens to be the one of the last of 2010 (lol, irony)

So what to say...? I've had a pretty good Christmas.  Got me some awesome stuff, including the Sonic Screwdriver Wiimote (something I geeked out on when I first saw it) Super Mario All-Stars Limited edition (the one with the Audio CD and stuff) and... I was also one of the lucky ones - as I am also the proud owner of an Xbox Kinect! Now, I'd voice my opinions on it, only my niece has taken over it by playing Kinectimals and is probably going to be there for the rest of the night.  I do wonder how long it'll take before she get's bored with it though... A couple of years back she got a Nintendo DS + Nintendogs and got bored with it after a couple weeks or so, and I'm not really one for pet simulation games anyway...

And as for how LP's are turning out... well I would have liked to have finished up Sonic Adventure 2 by now... But that didn't work out since my old DVD recorder broke, and couldn't record shit otherwise.  But enough of lamening about stupid things - here's is what 2011 will pretty much have in store for LetsPlayShadigo:
